About Denise

Denise has been a Registered Psychologist since 1996 and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Her professional background includes working in government organisations, such as mental health, aged care, rural and allied health and also with the Australian Defence Force. She has provided psychological consultancy services for Employee Assistant Program providers and also worked in private practice.

Denise has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of psychological disorders, with a particular focus on mood disorders, problems caused by work stress and relationship issues. She uses a variety of counselling / treatment modalities, with an emphasis on Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. Her counselling is directed towards assisting people achieve better insight into their problems and learning new or more effective ways of coping. She has a particular interest in assisting people achieve happier and more fulfilling lives.
