Anthony is an independent, experienced and compassionate therapist for couples and individuals. With 15 years experience and Masters-level training in counselling and psychotherapy, he has established a broad understanding of working with many challenging issues.
Anthony uses a client-centred approach, which means there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach – he endeavours to understand what is important for you. Using empathy and non-judgement, he desires to understand what life is like for you and to ‘get’ you – what you are thinking and feeling, how the events of life have impacted you, what you want and need, and supporting you to move towards the life you desire – whether you are an individual or couple. He creates a safe and sacred space to be open and real about what you are experiencing.
Anthony is also an experienced couples therapist, having trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, a world-renowned, research-based approach to strengthening relationships. He draws on this training to help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen their emotional connection and navigate conflict in a constructive and healthy way. Whether it’s learning practical tools to handle conflict or creating more shared meaning in their relationship, Anthony supports couples in feeling more understood, valued, and connected to each other. This approach uses a clear framework to help create a solid foundation of love and connection, while still allowing flexibility to adapt to each couple’s unique needs, so they feel both supported and empowered in their relationship.
Anthony is skilled in building rapport with clients and is passionate about helping people heal from their emotional, mental and psychological struggles so that they can live the life they truly desire. To do this, he uses a range of evidence-based psychotherapies.
In his spare time, Anthony loves to travel, read, spend time at the beach, exercise, play drums, watch and play sport, and spend time with family and friends, including 2 well-loved nephews.
