About Tracey

Tracey is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in clinical settings with Queensland Health and private psychiatric hospitals, as well as in private psychological practice, with women’s health services and not-for-profit organisations. She is a fully registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)

Tracey has worked with clients across the life-span: children and adolescents (including in the area of early psychosis and in school and tertiary counselling settings); in adult and older person’s mental health services (with clients diagnosed with severe and chronic mental health concerns), and in the area of cancer care assisting people facing the many challenges that accompany new or pre-existing cancer diagnoses.

Tracey uses evidence-based therapies coupled with a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach to assist clients work toward an improved quality of life. She feels privileged to know she has been able to help people manage or cope with their issues, whether due to adjustment and life transitions, mental health, mood or substance use issues, grief and loss, or trauma-related and PTSD/complex PTSD issues. She has also worked with veterans in individual and group therapy settings, having facilitated both inpatient and day programs within private psychiatric hospitals.

Tracey also has a keen interest in working to assist individuals with their career and study issues, having spent time in tertiary education as both a student and careers counsellor. Her experience working in private practice also incorporates assisting individuals with stress-related, relationship, health and esteem-related issues (including the treatment of major mood disorders – depression, anxiety, bipolar and early psychosis – PTSD and Complex PTSD).

She adopts a holistic approach to care, with the understanding that an individual’s mental health cannot be separated from their heart and soul or their life circumstances.

In addition, she plays violin and guitar (not well), writes poetry and stories that usually only she will read, and has a passion for artisan rose farming and floral design.

  • She has also been trained in the use of EMDR

Tracey works with adults 18+ and is available on Wednesdays & Saturdays, in-person, Online via Zoom and telephone consultations.
