Katherine Thornley

Katherine is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychology Society. She has had 13 years counselling experience, including work at a leading tertiary institution and a popular private practice in Melbourne.

Katherine has developed and facilitated a number of different workshops (e.g. stress management, anger management and motivation) and group therapy sessions (e.g. depression, social anxiety).

She has worked as a supervisor, supervising psychology students as a component of their Masters course. Katherine has had a wealth of experience across many different issues and has worked with people from diverse backgrounds.

Katherine utilises a broad range of evidenced-based techniques and strategies including:  client centered therapy, cognitive-behavioural psychology, neuropsychology, mindfulness, EMDR and solution focused therapy. This ensures Katherine has the individual client and their needs as the focus of her therapeutic approach.
